Nutritional Therapy

For details of our nutritionists, please click.

Nutritional therapy is a healthcare system which looks for ways in which nutrition can be used to help develop the body's strength and resistance, to help it fight its own battles more efficiently. It is not just about eating a healthy diet or taking vitamin pills. That is something which anyone can do for themselves. The nutritionalist has a number of special techniques at their disposal, including allergy diagnosis, detoxification, improving digestion, correcting deficiences and general nutritional education. A good therapist will help you understand your body and how it works, and will help you through any problems you might experience.

When you consult a nutritional therapist, you will normally be given a detailed questionnaire to fill in, which the therapist uses to decide what kind of diet to suggest for you. In many cases, this is only a temporary diet for diagnostic purposes. Modern nutritional therapy is not a harsh, unnecessarily restrictive therapy.

A variety of problems can be helped by nutritional therapy, including:

  • headaches
  • digestive disorders
  • blood sugar imbalance
  • PMS
  • skin problems
  • high cholesterol
  • chronic fatigue and ME
  • weight problems
  • mood swings
  • allergies
  • candidiasis
